I took a drive out to Mount Graham (Near Pima, Arizona) on September 4, 2010. It was a really nice experience. The mountain rises to an elevation of 10,720 feet, but the roads that went up to the very top were closed off to the general public. There is a paved road that goes up past 9,000 feet in elevation before it turns into dirt and gravel. The road then goes for another 15 miles in which there are several campgrounds along the way, even a lake called "Riggs Lake". What I think is really unique is that there are some areas where you won't even know that you're in the mountain since it is so big. There is also a building that encompasses a huge telescope to look into the sky at night. Unfortunately, that area is off limits to the general public, but if you want to know more about it, you can always look it up online. I'm sorry about all the driving footage in the first video. I thought that some people might like to see what the road was like all the way up the mountain.
